Educational Commitment and Innovation in Pedagogical Training

Teaching Activity Overview

UTBM

UTBM is an engineering school with approximately 3,000 students. It offers a wide range of LMD-level training programs. These include 5-year engineering curricula in the fields of engineering sciences, available through initial training and apprenticeship in Computer Science, Energy, Mechanical and Design Engineering, Industrial Systems, as well as Ergonomics, Design, and Mechanical Engineering. Furthermore, Master's and PhD programs are offered, aligned with UTBM's research units (UR).
My commitment to pedagogy extends beyond teaching; I participate extensively in the life and development of the institution, particularly within my department, by directing and coordinating engineering and Master's programs, creating new international training programs, and participating in the restructuring of majors and specialties.

UTBM Belfort

Deeply committed to pedagogy, I apply active and project-based approaches reinforced by AI. I adapt teaching to the diversity of student profiles by making them actors in their own learning. They develop autonomy, a sense of responsibility, and technical expertise, which they showcase particularly during post-internship presentations. Projects, designed with a "product" logic, integrate technical, managerial, and strategic dimensions (management, intellectual property, business model, etc.). This approach fosters motivation, collaboration, and the sustainable acquisition of skills.

I believe that leading a university program is much more than managing a curriculum; it is engaging as a key player in the transformation of knowledge, career paths, and societies.

Program Responsibilities

Since 2026 — Head of the "AI & Health" Master's program in Luxembourg

Since 2024 — Head of the "Data Sciences, Infrastructure and Cloud" Master's program in Luxembourg

Since 2022 — Head of the "AI & Big Data" Master's program in Togo

Since 2019 — Director of the Computer Science Engineering Apprenticeship Program at UTBM

Convinced that pedagogical innovation is an essential driver of learning, I invest my energy into projects that lastingly transform teaching practices.

Educational and Collaborative Projects

2021 – IMPACT

"Applied Mathematics Engineering: Support and Cooperation Program with Togo (IMPACT)"
A collaborative project in partnership with the University of Lomé (Togo), UTT, IMT Albi-Carmaux, and UTBM. It aims to structure a complete LMD system in mathematical engineering (logistics, computer science, AI & Big Data).
Funding: ANR – Call for projects "Partnerships with African Higher Education" – €2.8 M.

2017 – AudioVideoCast

"AudioVideoCast for Project-Based Flipped Classroom"
Implementation of an innovative pedagogy combining project-based learning and flipped classroom methods, featuring online resources, interactive sessions, and personalized support.
Funding: 1st call for "Innovative Pedagogy" projects – €10 K.

2008 – Network of Small Intelligent Vehicles

"Network of interactive small intelligent vehicles"
An inter-departmental project aimed at creating a common practical laboratory platform for the Computer Science and Electrical Engineering & Control Systems departments.
Funding: BQE – €19 K.

Convinced that the university is a motor of transformation, creating training programs here and abroad means preparing talent to meet global and local challenges.

Program Creation

2026 — "AI and Health" Master's Program in LUXEMBOURG

LLC CSL Logo

Scheduled to open in September 2026, in partnership with LLLC/CSL and the University Hospital (CHU) of Strasbourg. This Master's trains experts in AI applied to healthcare: remote monitoring, personalized medicine, diagnostic assistance, and care pathway optimization. It is designed for engineers, healthcare professionals, and executives in career transition. UTBM thus asserts itself as a key player at the research-health-technology interface.

2024 — "Data Sciences, Infrastructure and Cloud" Master's Program in LUXEMBOURG

LLC CSL Logo

In partnership with LLLC/CSL Luxembourg, this international Master's program addresses the strong growth of Cloud Computing (+21%/year). Targeting employees and open to both initial and continuing education, it complements the FISE/FISA/AI & Big Data curricula. Courses are taught by UTBM faculty and professionals, ensuring high employability and integration into the Luxembourgish economy.

2022 — LMD Curriculum: "Applied Mathematics Engineering (IMPACT)" in TOGO

IMPACT Logo

The IMPACT project supports the University of Lomé in structuring a complete training system in mathematical engineering (logistics, computer science, AI & Big Data), from Bachelor to Doctorate, with double degrees recognized by the CTI and integrated into the local economy. 2031 Objective: create the Polytechnic School of the University of Lomé (EPUL), an ecosystem of excellence. IMPACT also strengthens ties with companies through a Training-Industry Relations service, an incubator, and an Open Innovation Lab integrated into the REFFAO.

Convinced that university pedagogy must combine excellence, commitment, and openness, I design and lead programs that resonate beyond borders, addressing both local stakes and global challenges.

Global Outreach

My commitment to university teaching is reflected in the design, coordination, and promotion of training programs, both locally and internationally. The work resulting from the teaching units I lead is regularly showcased at events open to the general public, such as the Science Festival or Digital Week, for which I launched the first national edition in 2023 in Northern Franche-Comté. Internationally, I contribute to UTBM's outreach through regular lectures and the creation of off-site programs: at the University of Lomé - TOGO, at UTSEUS - CHINA, at the Luxembourg Lifelong Learning Center - LUXEMBOURG, as well as at Columbia University - USA, Shanghai University - CHINA, Hassan II University Casablanca - MOROCCO, the University of Sfax - TUNISIA, and Antonine University - LEBANON. These actions are part of a demanding and responsible approach, serving pedagogical quality and the internationalization of higher education.
